Behind the mask: Cast & creatives
The former lead singer of boy band ‘Ultimate Kaos’ fronted the five piece group from the
tender age of 9. He was discovered and given his first record contract by Simon Cowell at
Arista records when Simon Cowell wanted to create a new ‘Jackson 5’.
As a child star Haydon was hailed in the press as a new Michael Jackson. The front cover of
the influential ‘Tip Sheet’ hailed Haydon as ’the most talented male vocalist in the UK’. The
first UK Top 10 Hit came in 1994 with the song ‘Some Girls’, and during this year his band
were the opening act for the massive ‘Take That’ tour, ‘Some Girls’ was followed by a string
of other UK hits.
Ultimate Kaos then signed a worldwide record deal with Polygram and had major success in
Europe, the Far East and Australia. Haydon and the band had the honour of supporting
Janet Jackson when she performed in London, followed by Diana Ross for her one off show
at Wembley Arena, and then toured alongside mega groups such as The Spice Girls and
Backstreet Boys, with their global hit song ‘Casanova’.
After the group split Haydon embarked on a solo career. He was chosen as backing singer to the original ‘Jacksons’, Tito, Jermaine, Jackie and Marlon, and performed in concerts
