It's nearly the end of The X Factor and we are so incredibly proud of former Young MJ Kieran Alleyne and his fellow 5 After Midnight band mates.
The lads have been of a consistently high standard from the beginning and win or lose tomorrow, we could not be more pleased for them and wish them lots of luck with their future, which we are sure is incredibly bright.

This week we were delighted to welcome X Factor contestants 5 After Midnight, Saara Aalto & Relley C to Thriller Live, where they met the cast and saw the show.

It was especially nice to welcome back 5 After Midnight's Kieran Alleyne; he was one of the very first young MJs when the show first opened on the West End back in 2009.

Gary Lloyd, Thriller-Live’s award-winning director and choreographer, said: “Kieran was a wonderful discovery when he turned up on a freezing cold morning at our West End open call auditions. In 2008 we were literally seeing hundreds of youngsters, many with experience in musicals like The Lion King, Oliver! and Billy Elliott. But Kieran immediately stood out from the crowd. He had a pure sound and great stage presence despite his lack of formal training - holding centre stage alone in front of almost 1,000 people a night didn’t seem to faze him at all. He obviously loved Michael Jackson and his music and performing and was always trying to perfect new moves and hone his vocals backstage.”

Record-breaking Thriller Live announces a new booking period to October 2017!

A new Thriller Live tour will have them dancing in the aisles across
the UK and Europe.

Thriller Live opens tonight in the People’s Republic of China, chosen as the opening production in a major new resort.
Michael Jackson first sang “Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough” in 1979 in the first song to showcase his talent as a solo artist, winning him his first solo Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance.

It’s been in Thriller Live, the West End concert spectacular, created to celebrate the career of the world’s greatest entertainer, since day
one and could be the show’s anthem as producers announce yet another new booking period to October 1, 2017.

Thriller Live first opened in the West End at the Lyric Theatre in January 2009 and is currently the 10th longest running show - musical or play - in West End history. It never fails to get the audience on its feet and has received more than 3,200 nightly standing ovations at the Lyric, where it also holds the record as the longest running show since the theatre started entertaining the capital in December 1888.

Thriller Live recently sold its 2 millionth West End ticket and has now been seen by over 4 milion people in 32 countries and played over 5,100 performances worldwide.

The show’s producers today also announce that Thriller Live will set out on January 27, 2017 on a major new tour, playing 12 theatres
across the UK and several countries across Europe.

The UK tour dates are: Southport Theatre (27 & 28 Jan); Eden Court Theatre, Inverness (30 Jan - 4 Feb); His Majesty’s Theatre, Aberdeen (6 - 11 Feb); Norwich Theatre Royal (13 - 18 Feb); Wolverhampton Grand Theatre (21- 25 Feb); Venue Cymru, Llandudno (27 Feb - 1 March); Sands Centre Carlisle (2 - 4 March); Gaiety Theatre Dublin (6 - 11 March); Waterfront Hall, Belfast (16 - 18 March); Grand Theatre Swansea (20 - 25 March); Grand Theatre Leeds (11 - 15 April); Belgrade Theatre, Coventry (25 - 29 April).

Thriller Live opens today, Friday 30 September, in the People’s Republic of China, chosen as the opening production in the state-of-the-art 1,200-seat Parisian Theatre at the heart of the magnificent $2.9billion dollar hotel complex, the Sands Parisian Macao Hotel in Macao. The hotel and resort opened its doors to the public for the first time on Tuesday 13 September amid fanfare and celebration, designed to bring a sense of magic, wonder and the resplendent essence of the famed “City of Light” to Macao. Thriller Live will play for seven weeks.

Producers Paul Walden and Derek Nicol said today: “After more than eight years in the West End, Thriller Live continues to go from
strength to strength. We have had a spectacular summer and year on year audience numbers are fantastic. Michael Jackson’s music has never been more popular, and just like Wicked and other successful shows, Thriller Live has many loyal fans who come back time after time for repeat visits. We aim to keep the show fresh and exciting for them for many years to come through subtle changes, additional special effects and new video content.”

Thriller Live is unlike other West End musicals. There is no script or story, it is instead a eye-popping spectacular concert celebration of Michael Jackson’s music and dance legacy, bringing to life on stage his amazing high-energy dancing and the pulsating sound of many of pop’s greatest hits, and features specially created video footage and effects and dazzling choreography by the show’s award-winning director, Gary Lloyd.
