Behind the mask: UK Touring Cast

Tyrone Lee

Vocalist

Tyrone, like many leading vocalists today, began by singing in church from an early age. Performing with groups and choirs, he gained valuable training and experience. It was whilst singing at a local church concert that he was spotted by Fame Academy judge David Grant and asked to lend his vocal support to a variety of U.K pop artists under his direction. This opportunity lead Tyrone to work with some of today’s leading artistes from the U.K and the U.S such as Gary Barlow, Peter Andre, Blur, Leona Lewis, Meat Loaf, Joe Thomas, Robert Palmer, M-People, Heather Small, Emeli Sande and West Life to name but a few. His writing talent was quickly spotted as he penned songs on various dance music projects as well as The So Solid Crew’s Lisa Mafia’s solo album giving Tyrone his first top 20 hit in the national chart. Tyrone has also been heavily involved with the development of up and coming acts contracted by some of the industries major record labels. Tyrone was a lead vocalist for world-renowned jazz funk outfit, Incognito. Along with recording for them, he has also recorded his own eagerly awaited debut solo album ‘Invitation’, which topped the UK Soul Chart hitting the No.1 spot in January 2014.
